In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), we explain how we process your personal data when you visit silverpawshop.com or buy from Silver Paw.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we are not required to (art. 37 GDPR and art. 34 LOPDGDD).

2. Data we process

  • Identification and contact: first name, surname, email, phone.
  • Shipping and billing: postal address and tax details if you request an invoice.
  • Orders: products purchased, amounts, history and communications with customer service.
  • Payment: card details are processed directly by the payment gateway (Shopify Payments, PayPal); we never see or store them.
  • Browsing: IP address, device, browser and website use via cookies, according to your preferences (see section 9).
  • Information about your pet that you voluntarily give us (for example, age or needs) so we can advise you.

We do not process special categories of data. The store is not aimed at children under 14.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Managing your order (payment, shipping, returns, warranties and customer service): performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Complying with legal obligations (accounting, tax and consumer law): legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
  • Managing your customer account, if you create one: performance of the contract / your consent.
  • Sending you news and offers by email if you subscribe: consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR). We may send customers communications about products similar to those purchased (art. 21.2 LSSI-CE), with an opt-out in every email.
  • Abandoned cart reminders and review requests after purchase: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR), always with the option to object.
  • Preventing fraud and keeping the store secure: legitimate interest.
  • Analytics and personalised advertising via non-essential cookies: consent.

4. Retention period

We keep data for as long as the business relationship lasts and then for the legal periods (generally 6 years for commercial and accounting records and 4 years for tax obligations). Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe. After these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.

5. Recipients and processors

We do not sell your data. We only share it with third parties when necessary to provide the service or when required by law:

  • Shopify (store platform and payments).
  • PayPal and other payment gateways.
  • Suppliers and manufacturers who prepare and ship your order (including print-on-demand and logistics services), and carriers.
  • Email marketing and analytics tools, if you have given consent.
  • Public authorities, judges and courts when required by law.

6. International transfers

Some providers (for example Shopify, PayPal, Google or Meta) may process data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the USA or Canada. These transfers are covered by European Commission adequacy decisions (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing, by writing to silverpawshop@gmail.com or to the postal address above, stating the right you are exercising. If necessary, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will reply within one month.

If you believe we have not processed your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

9. Cookies

We use technical cookies needed for the store to work (cart, checkout, session) and, only if you accept them in the banner, analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your preferences at any time from the cookie banner or your browser settings.

10. Accuracy of data

You guarantee that the data you provide is accurate and agree to tell us about any changes.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or service changes. We will publish the current version on this page with its update date.
